I went bin diving in the university skip for a class at the beginning of semester. We had to solve a problem by up-cycling the materials from the old things we found (eg. chairs, shelves, electrical cords, ply wood etc) and this is my groups outcome. All of this design is made from up-cycled materials except for the suction cups. Our uni is going to implement our design solution so we are very happy with what we ended up with.

Over the past two weeks I’ve been doing a rapid design workshop to do with wearable technology and I’m super happy with the final result.

The concept my group members and I developed was to do with transforming crowds of people (at sports events or festivals or protests etc) into a sort of LED screen where graphics and things could be run through the origami inspired light pieces they would be wearing… creating a feeling of connection between the people involved.

The video is our process and our final presentation piece.
